Do you have a story to add to the listings here at the Backstreet Bauhaus? Read the rules for submission below, then select a genre to submit to. FAILURE to abide by these rules will result in the definite discarding of your submission.
Your story must feature at least one of the Backstreet Boys (or the immediate people around them) as the main character. Crossovers with television shows or other boybands are permitted, provided at least one of the main characters is a Backstreet Boy. Crossovers should still be submitted to the appropriate genre, we do not have a special section for them.
Ratings will go as follows: G for General Audience; PG for minimal amounts of objectable violence, language, suggestions, and/or behavior; PG-13 for moderate amounts of the aforementioned; R for considerable amounts of the aforementioned; NC-17 for excessive amounts of the aforementioned.
A story may only be submitted to ONE genre.
The Bauhaus reserves the right to change which genre your story is listed under, in order to help us maintain an accurate directory.
Forms must be filled out completely, with valid e-mail addresses and URL's given.
If you want to change information for a story already listed, please do that here.
The Backstreet Bauhaus currently has 15 subject divisions for stories. From the descriptions offered below, please choose the most specific genre to fit your story. If several genres fit, please choose the first on the list, as it will be the smallest, most specific genre. For example, if your story could count as sci-fi, alternate universe and drama, choose sci-fi.
Romantic Comedy -- This is where all light-hearted, breezy efforts involving male/female relationships should be submitted. This is a subset of Romance.
Sci-Fi -- a subset of Alternate Universe, this is where all stories involving Futuristic, High-tech, and Techno plots, or any other kind dealing with fictional scientific matter.
Alternate Universe -- For any other stories where the Backstreet Boys are not a pop group. Backstreet police officers, WWII soldiers, basketball players and average Joes can all find a home here.
Gay -- Homosexual themed stories with a rating of PG-13 or less belong here. Anything rated higher belongs in slash. The Gay genre may focus more on a relationship or external forces, rather than on m/m sex.
Lyrical -- This is where all songfic belongs. The length of the story doesn't matter, if the structure or plot revolves around a song, Backstreet or otherwise, it should be listed here.
Suspense -- A pulse-quickening subset of Drama, suspense is for all mystery, horror, thriller and action stories.
Visuals -- Any story that revolves around explicit sex between a Backstreet Boy and a girl. These stories are sometimes referred to as smutfic or PWP.
Comedy -- All laugh out loud funny stories and parodies should go here.
Slash -- Homosexual themed stories rated PG-13 or higher. Slash is for m/m stories with descriptions of explicit sexual content.
Short Stories -- Home to all novellas, drabbles, and other works without chapters that were artfully crafted with the smallest amount of language possible.
Drama -- one of the largest genres, Drama is for all moving dramatic material, as well as material that doesn't fit elsewhere.
Romance -- the largest genre at the Bauhaus, Romance is where all stories involving serious matters of the heart between a Backstreet Boy and a girl reside.
Non-English -- this is a special section where all non-English BSB fan fiction can be submitted to the directory.
Family/Misc -- If you have a story featuring Aaron Carter, Leighanne or Kristin or any of the other people who regularly appear in the Boys lives as the main character, it can be submitted to this genre and this genre only.
Poetry -- For all poetry written about the Backstreet Boys. Obviously.
We are not the Backstreet Boys and are not affiliated with them or their inner and outer circles. We are Swedish songwriters who update this site in between churning out chart-topping hits. Then we go home and roll around in our piles of money. We do not claim ownership for any of the stories linked on this site. They are the work of their respective authors and belong entirely to them, much like our catchy songs belong to us. The only difference is that we are filthy rich, and the authors linked on this site are not. They are very, very poor.
