FAQ's

How often do you update?

We usually update every two weeks, on Fridays. Sign up for our e-mail update list, and we'll send you an e-mail every time we update the site.

How do I submit my story to you?

First, your story must be hosted somewhere with a URL that links directly to that story. If you need a place to host, try some of the links on our Hosting page. Once you have a link to your story, click the Submit a Story link on the menu and choose the form for the genre your story best fits, fill out the information and click submit.

How many genres may I submit my story to?

You may only list a story in one genre. Sometimes it's difficult to choose, but consider which genre you would look in if you were a reader looking for a story similar to yours. If it's still up for debate, the genre submit list is organized from smallest to largest, and we recommend choosing the first genre on the list that fits your story. This way, your story stands a better chance of being noticed and read.

I submitted a story to your site and I don't see it listed. Where is it?

If we've updated the site since you submitted your story, make sure the specific genre you've submitted it to has been updated. If the story is still missing, then please submit it again, and make sure all the required information is filled in and correct.

Can you say which stories are finished and which aren't?

No, we can't. It would be impossible to keep an accurate count of which stories are in progress and which are finished, and if the listing wasn't accurate, then what good would it be?

Can I work on the site? How do I become a Backstreet Bauhaus staff member?

There are only so many jobs to do on this site. If we need more people to work on the site, we'll post a message on the main page, and send a message out to the e-mail list specifying what we're looking for. When this happens, you'll welcome to submit your application. Otherwise, Club Bauhaus is often looking for guest reviews, articles and columns, so take a look and see if anything there strikes your fancy.

What if I come across a broken link while surfing through the Bauhaus?

Send us an e-mail and let us know what genre and story it is. We'll try to track down the new URL, or remove the story if it can't be found.

The Bauhaus closed down in 1933 due to Hitler's accusations of Communism. Are you Reds?

Yes, and that would make you a Nazi.

We are not the Backstreet Boys and are not affiliated with them or their inner and outer circles. We are Swedish songwriters who update this site in between churning out chart-topping hits. Then we go home and roll around in our piles of money. We do not claim ownership for any of the stories linked on this site. They are the work of their respective authors and belong entirely to them, much like our catchy songs belong to us. The only difference is that we are filthy rich, and the authors linked on this site are not. They are very, very poor.
